Ragam-Shanmukhapriya(Chamaram)
The ragam Shanmukapriya is the 20th Prati-Madhyama Melakarta Ragam (56th Sampoorna Melakarta Ragam). It is also called Chamaram in the Raganga Sampradayam of Sri Venkatamakhi followed by Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar who was one of the most important Nada Brahmopasaka/Vaggeyakara among the Sangeetha Trayam. It's the 2nd ragam in the tenth chakram Disi Chakram. Most of the compositions in this ragam are dedicated to Lord Shiva and Subrahmanya.
